The real Heroes of our Manx community came out in force on Oct 7th 2011 at The Empress Hotel to celebrate and be rewarded for their bravery, hardwork and help to others during day to day lives.
12 winners recieved trophies ranging from Bravest Youngster to foster carer of the year and a great night was had by all.
Pictured below is our winner and star of the evening Mian Bobby Watterson whom for his bravery through his illness (Immune Thrombocytopenia ITP) recieved the award for the Child of courage (under 10)

Quiz and darts competition raises money in Peel

For the second year The Manx Radio Dream Catcher Appeal has benifited from the proceeds of a quiz night held in the Peel Legion Club and a darts competition held in The Peveril Public House.
We would like to thank the family of Darren Self who arranged these event for The Dream Catcher Appeal in his memory after he was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident some years ago.

We would like to thank you kindly for your donation of £625.00 and we can assure you this money will be wisely spent on deserving causes across the Island.

Elton John auction £561.00

Congratulations and Thank you to Claire Bettison who was the highest bidder in our auction for front row Elton John tickets she brought the bid to £561.00 in the last 10 minutes of the auction and bought herself a fantastic seat to see The Rocket Man himself.

Cameron’s Easter Cycling Challange

A massive well done to six year old Cameron who gave up his Easter holidays to cycle 100miles for three local charities one of which was Dream Catcher.
Crackers caught up with him at the NSC royal London cycling club where he competes every Tuesday to recieve the cheque.

Men For Sale Night

The Dream Catcher Appeal along with Body and Mind Ladies Gym are holding a Men For Sale Night at Guys and Dolls nightclub on the 30th June 2011.
This is going to be a great night for all ladies and lots of fun.
Tickets are £4.50 and avalible on 682600 or from Body and mind.
Doors open at 6.45pm and there will be pleantly of hot and handy men on sale to help with all those household chores.

Our little star Rory has been fundraising

Our youngest fundraiser Rory Donegan has been at it again and along with Mannvend manage to raise a whopping £1116.00 for Dream Catcher by travelling to school in his pj’s and helping his family around the house to earn extra pocket money.

Cameron Hawks Easter 2011 Charity bike ride

The Dream Catcher Appeal would like to Thank 6 year old Cameron who gave up his Easter holiday to cycle 100 miles for three charities on the island.
Dream Catcher Appeal, Royal London 360 and Wish Upon a Dream.
He started his cycling on Douglas prom on 11th April at 10am of completed his 100 miles on Monday 25th April.
Amounts raised have yet to be confirmed and passed to the charities but im sure you did a great job Cameron well done and a big Thank You from The Dream Catcher Appeal.
