The Manx Radio Dream Catcher Appeal have helped Ramsey BMX Club by donating some BMX Bikes and Safety Equipment.

Ramsey BMX Club are based at Mooragh Park BMX track, Mooragh Promenade, Ramsey. The club is offiliated with British Cycling and the only place on the island to get a taste of this exciting new olympic sport.

Douglas Scout Group requested some much needed office chairs to replace their old chairs in the computer room at the scouts hall. The Dream Catcher Appeal provided them with their request and delivered them to some very happy children.

The Manx Radio Dream Catcher Appeal donated two defibrillators to St John Ambulance.

St John Ambulance do such a great job in and around the community providing many things from much needed first aid cover to first aid training.

Dream Catcher Car Wash

A great time was had by all at the first ever Dream Catcher Carity Car Wash on Sunday 13th September with most of the Island turning up to have their car washed. We raised a massive £1000 so it was a great effort.

BIG thanks go to Shoprite for donating the car wash equipment and MannVend for providing refreshments.

And finally a massive thank you to all the volunteers who washed cars all day!!

Heroes in the Community 2009

The Heroes night was a great success for all involved. The Award winners were all delighted and have all said how much they appreciated the award. Tina Turner was fab and she got everybody up dancing during her cabaret.

The dinner at the Empress was superb. Thanks to all the sponsors and people who attended the Heroes evening £7000 was raised for the Dream Catcher Appeal which was great. Thanks to the evening being such a success we have confirmed it will continue for the same time next year.
